Wendy is based in Johannesburg and much of her career has been spent unlocking the economic and leadership potential of women in South Africa. She has extensive experience in transformational education and pioneering social enterprises and is a highly skilled mentor of younger generation, teaching them to lead by example as they develop into successful entrepreneurs.
Wendy launched the Investment Portfolio Company (targeted at women) and the Private Equity Fund for Women, and her expertise in creating transformation and diversity strategies has led her to director and chair positions in the public, private and education sectors.
Wendy also has a proven background in luxury brand marketing, organisational and human capital development, leadership development and executive training and has used these skills in a diverse range of industries and companies.
Wendy has been involved in Quests in South Africa (where she hosted) and in Brazil (as a participant). She is a practised media contributor (including the BBC) and has three honorary doctorates. She is married with a son and two grandchildren.
