“The Foundation is a powerful change agent”

Edwin Keh, Donor

“Having worked at a refugee camp for the UNHCR early on in my career, I shy away from large NGOs with huge overheads. They are slow-moving wheels. I support organisations that watch the bottom line and measure effectiveness. Leaders’ Quest Foundation is very efficient – very cost efficient – and is a powerful change agent working on the right issues in China.”

After a successful career as COO/Global Procurement Vice President of Wal-Mart and leadership roles for brands including Abercrombie and Fitch, Country Road Australia, Donna Karan (DKNY) and Payless Shoes, Edwin Keh now lives in Hong Kong and consults for a variety of charities and NGOs, schools, universities and businesses.

Edwin says he was reluctant to join his first Quest to India in 2007. “I thought a Quest could be a potential nightmare. All these leaders – all these egos – how would one get a word in? But I discovered that Leaders’ Quest is very good at facilitating discussions and getting people to develop their self-awareness, taking them on an inward journey and balancing this with the outward journey. The recipe is brilliant.”
