In choosing LQ as our partner, we were mindful of the need for three things: 1. the professionalism of the logistics on the ground; 2. the depth of local knowledge that our partner needed to possess, with deep and sustained networks that spanned boardrooms, government service and NGOs in each of the countries we visited; 3. the need for a learning-design to wrap around the experience of the Quest that integrated with the broader TMP programme and that could be executed by the LQ facilitators with skill, sensitivity and responsiveness. Suffice to say, LQ has exceeded our expectations in every area. For my own part, having accompanied five programmes on their international weeks, I have not only learned much about countries that are becoming increasingly important players in the world economy and had the privilege of interacting with some impressive leaders in unlikely situations, I have also learned much about myself as I reflected on my own responses to what I saw and experienced. For an experiential development programme such as TMP, I can think of no better partner. (Series of Partnered Quests for the UK Govt's. Top Management Programme)
