Angela Hobart, Head of Strategic Finance, Octopus Energy

Angela serves as Director of Strategic Finance at Octopus Energy Group, one of the UK’s fastest-growing scale ups which aims to be the world’s first post-transition energy major. She joined Octopus in 2019 to lead strategic finance, focused on capital raising and allocation across OE's retail, licensing and energy transition services businesses, as well as investor and board engagement, FP&A / business partnership, treasury and banking relationships and liquidity management. She has led for finance on five investment rounds to raise £1.8B in primary equity resulting in a current $8B valuation (Dec 2023), and served as deal lead on £830m of syndicated working capital facilities. Prior to Octopus, Angela worked across a variety of corporate finance roles for Dell Technologies in the US and Singapore. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School and a native of Virginia.
